A McDonald's All-American nominee, Kendall Hackney and her teammates made Ohio high school basketball history this past season when the Cougars (27-1) won their 4th straight Ohio Div. I championship! A 4-year starter, Kendall was Ohio state tournament MVP both her freshman and senior years. Her incredible career record stands at 101 victories, with 10 losses. Averaging 13.3 points per game this season, she earned numerous honors, including this year's Miss Ohio Basketball, Ohio High School Player of the Year, 1st team all-state and Cincinnati Player of the Year. Kendall is also a 4.0 student and president the school’s National Honor Society. Active in community service and her church ministry, Kendall will continue her fine play at Northwestern University.

Orlando Scales was the #1 rated high school wrestler in the USA in the 215 lb. weight class. He is an All-American in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, a rare feat. Unstoppable last year (39-0), he won the Ohio state Div. I championship for the 2nd straight year and was named GCL and Cincinnati Wrestler of the Year, as well as 1st team all-state honors. "Orlando is a kid that comes along only a couple of times in a coach’s lifetime," says coach Dick McCoy. He holds numerous school wrestling records. Also an outstanding defensive football player, Orlando helped the Panthers to the Ohio runner-up title and was named 1st team all-GCL South, 1st team all-city, 1st team SWO district and special mention all-Ohio. Orlando will wrestle at Notre Dame College (Ohio) next season.
