won the NKY Jr. Amateur Championship. The next year, she won the Greater
Cincinnati Golf Association Junior Metropolitan Championship, and following
her sophomore year shot a women’s course-record 66 to win the Lady
Elks Invitational at Yankee Trace in Centerville, Ohio, marking the 2nd
straight year she had won the invitational. Last season in her varsity play,
she was regional champ and 5th at state. She was named NKY Golfer of the
Year for the 2nd time and 1st team all-state. Alex was NKAC and regional
medalist again this season, and finished 10th (tie) at state. In the NKAC
championships, she bagged a hole-in-one on the 268-yard, par 4 hole at the
Kenton County Pioneer golf course— a feat considered to be a
million-to-one shot for an amateur. Also an academic all-state performer,
her favorite athlete is Peyton Manning, and most-like-to-meet is Mother
Teresa.
