Seton High School's Sakura Codling is an all-star volleyball libero who is an Ohio state champion and was named as the preseason all-Ohio Player this year by the USA Today Network. She had 1,529 digs and 168 service aces in her great career. She will be competing next year collegiately as a team member of the UCLA Lady Bruins.

The Saints last season were ranked No. 1 in the state in 2023 before losing in the regional semifinals. They were again atop the rankings for this entire season and delivered on promise with a 26-2 record and an Ohio state title.

With 377 digs and 42 service aces this season Sakura helped the Saints share the GGCL championship then defeat Mason to win the regional championship and defeat Cleveland St. Joseph Academy in the state championship. She was named first-team all-Ohio in Div. I.

Last season, Sakura helped the Saints go 23-2 and win the tough GGCL championship while rolling all the way to the regional semifinals. Sakura racked up a league-leading 473 digs, with 113 assists and 31 aces her junior campaign and was named first-team all-GGCL, first-team all-city (Enquirer), first-team all-SWO District, first-team all-state and was a finalist for Cincinnati Player of the Year by the Cincinnati High School Sports Awards.

A good student who is active in community service, Sakura also plays for the Tri-State Elite 18 Blue club team. She was named to the JVA Girls' All-National Team in the class of 2025. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing and watching volleyball. Her favorite athlete is Michael Jordan, favorite entertainer is Kevin Hart, favorite book is It Ends With Us, favorite movie is Miracle on Ice and most-like-to-meet is Simone Biles.
