MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Senior Danny McElroy has been a star basketball player at LaSalle High
School for four years. Last year, as a junior, he averaged 14 points-7
rebounds a game, and is putting up some impressive numbers again this
season. Top games so far include scoring 27 points vs. Woodward, 26 vs.
Hamilton, 23 vs. Elder and 21 vs. Carroll. He has won numerous honors,
including three times being named 1st team all-GCL, honorable mention
all-city and honorable mention all-Southwest Ohio district. "Danny has
a heart of gold," says LaSalle Coach Dan Fleming. "He’s the
most caring teammate I have ever coached." During the summer, Danny
plays for the Ohio Basketball Club, and he will continue his career at the
next level, earning a scholarship to Bowling Green State University. Active
in community service, Danny's favorite athlete and most-like-to-meet is
LeBron James, his favorite entertainer is Lil Wayne, and his favorite movie
is He Got Game.
