MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
The Lady Spartans have had a volleyball star in senior outside hitter
Chelsea Hoffman, who, before breaking her wrist, led the city in kills per
game (Div. III). A 3-year starter, Chelsea helped lead her team last year
(19-9) to the district title and Ohio state Div. III Final Four. She earned
numerous honors, including 1st team all-GGCL, 3rd team all-state, Cincinnati
Div. II-IV Player of the Year and SWO District 16 Player of the Year.
Chelsea has not yet selected a college, but plans to play volleyball at the
next level. Also an academic star, Chelsea has a 4.0 GPA, is vice president
of the National Honor Society and a member of the school’s Student
Senate. She is active in community service and has received the Presidential
Service Award. Her favorite athlete and most-like-to-meet is Misty
May-Treanor, and her favorite entertainer is Keith Urban. During the summer,
Chelsea plays for the Cincinnati Peppers Jr. Olympic Volleyball club.
