MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: This senior
football team captain is a 3-sport star (football-basketball-track) who
started this gridiron season strong, with 6 catches for 224 yards and 3 TDs
vs. Glen Este. Playing both wide receiver (300 receiving yards as a junior)
and defensive back (8 INTs as a junior), Steve was named 1st team all-GMC
and honorable mention all-city and all-SWO district last season. In
basketball, Steve averaged 15 PPG and 5 RPG. He was named 2nd team all-GMC
and honorable mention all-city and all-SWO district. In track as a junior,
Steve finished as regional runner-up and 7th at state in the long jump, and
was also named 1st team all-GMC. Steve will continue his football excellence
next season at the University of Illinois. Active in community service,
Steve's favorite athletes are Deion Sanders and Michael Jordan; his favorite
entertainer is Chris Tucker, most-like-to-meet is Muhammad Ali, favorite
movie is Batman The Dark Knight and favorite book is Epic.
