ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Going into this season, this 3-year starter had an impressive 17-2
varsity pitching record, and also has an Ohio state championship (the
school's 1st ever in baseball) under his belt from his sophomore year. Last
season, the regional champion Firebirds were 26-2, and went all the way to
the Ohio state semifinals. Nate put up great numbers -- he had an 11-1
record with a 2.43 ERA while notching 52 strikeouts. He also hit .313 for
the season. Nate has won numerous honors, including 1st team all-GMC, 1st
team all-city and 2nd team all-state his junior year.
Active in community service and a good student, Nate plays for Midland in
the summer, and he will play college baseball next season at Furman.
His favorite athlete is Sandy Koufax, favorite entertainer is Chris Farley,
favorite movie is Friday Night Lights, favorite book is The Last Best League
and most-like-to-meet is President Obama.
