MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Senior
nationally ranked tennis star (Top 10 in the Midwest, Top 20 in USA) is
featured on the cover and in a feature story in ESPN Rise magazine. Gabby
was Ohio state runner-up this year and won the Div. II Ohio state singles
championship last year when she went 19-0 and, during one impressive
stretch, won 10 matches in a row without ever losing a game. A 4-year
starter, Gabby has also finished as Ohio state runner-up her freshman year
and 3rd place in her sophomore year at the state tournament. Among her many
honors, she has been named Cincinnati Player of the Year and 1st team
all-state three straight years. She also was twice named Female Tennis
Player of the Year by the local Women's Sports Association. She has not yet
selected a college, but will play tennis at the next level. Gabby's favorite
athlete is Marat Safin, favorite entertainer and most-like-to-meet is singer
Jack Johnson, favorite book is Catcher in the Rye and favorite movie is
Almost Famous.
