MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
This senior basketball forward helped lead the Firebirds last year to a
26-2 record and the Ohio state Div. I runner-up title. Alexis averaged 10 ppg.
as a sophomore and 12.8 ppg. as a junior. She hit for 20 points (10 rebounds)
vs. Princeton earlier this season, and top games last season included scoring
24 vs. Mt. Notre Dame (in the state final), 21 vs. Colerain and 20 vs. both
Hamilton and Toledo Central Catholic. "We expect Alexis to be a dominant
force at both ends of the floor," says coach Andy Fishman. Alexis has won
numerous honors, including 1st team all-GMC, 1st team all-city, 2nd team
all-SWO district and honorable mention all-state. Her freshman year, she went
to school in Georgia, where she won a state title in shot put. Active in
community service, Alexis will play basketball next season at Duke University.
Her favorite athlete is Tim Duncan and her favorite book is A Child Called It.
