MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
This senior pitcher won 18 games last season with a school-record 0.94
ERA while notching 294 strike outs. She hurled 12 shutouts and 3 no-hitters.
Also a shortstop, Emily hit a robust .457 with 15 RBIs. Going in to this
season her career strikeouts (732), career wins (51) and career ERA (0.83)
are all school records. Emily has earned many honors, including 1st team
all-GMC twice, 1st team all-city three times and 1st team all-state twice.
She was also named the 2008 GMC Player of the Year and Cincinnati Div. I
Player of the Year. A great student (National Honor Society) who is very
active in community service, Emily will continue her fast-pitch excellence
next year at Northern Kentucky University. Her favorite athlete is Jennie
Finch, favorite entertainer is Celine Dion, favorite book is The Grapes of
Wrath and her most like to meet is the cast of Saturday Night Live. During
the summer, Emily plays for the Cincy Tribe fast-pitch team.
