ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
The Big Red has one of Cincinnati’s top basketball players –
senior Jack Smith. A 3-year starter in his junior year, Jack averaged 16.4
ppg. and 6 rpg. on the way to being named 1st team all-conference for the
2nd time, in addition to 1st team all-city, 2nd team all-SWO district and
honorable mention all-state. He is putting up impressive numbers again this
season, including 31 points (12 rebounds) vs. Winton Woods, 29 points vs.
Aiken and 29 points vs. Dayton Belmont. During the summer, Jack plays for
the All-Ohio Red team. A good student who is active in community service,
Jack has interest from numerous collegiate programs to play at the next
level, but he has not yet committed. Jack also ran cross country one season
for the Big Red. His favorite athlete is LeBron James, favorite entertainer
is Shaquille O'Neal, favorite movie is Love & Basketball and his
most-like-to-meet is President Barack Obama.
