MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: This senior all-star pitcher entering this season had notched 65 varsity wins, with 25 shutouts and 6 no-hitters while striking out 619 batters. In 2007, she went 25-9 with a 1.69 ERA. She's started strong this year, too, pitching shutouts against Notre Dame Academy and Boone County. Kelsey was named 1st team all-Northern Kentucky twice and has been selected to the all-district and all-region tournament teams. Kelsey also has been honored with the Boone County Board of Education's Sportsmanship Award. She plays for the Kentucky Xplosion during the summer, and will continue her excellence on the field next year at Asbury College. A great student (National Honor Society), Kelsey has been on the academic "A" honor roll each semester in her high school career. Her favorite entertainer is Taylor Swift, favorite movie is The Princess Bride, favorite book is Of Mice and Men and most-like-to-meet is Jenny Finch. She also played a year of volleyball for the Cougars.
