MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Should Mt. Notre Dame win this season's Ohio
state Div. I basketball title, senior forward Kendall Hackney (along with
teammates Gabby Smith and Ashley Fowler) will make history, as the only
girls' players ever to win 4 straight Ohio titles. As it is, Kendall has
been part of 3 straight state championships with the Cougars. A 4-year
starter, Kendall was state tournament MVP her freshman year and has been
named to the Ohio state all-tournament team the past 2 seasons. As a junior,
Kendall averaged 12.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and was named honorable mention
all-city and all-SWO district. Also an academic all-star, Kendall is a 4.0
student and president of National Honor Society. She was also the lead in
MND's spring musical, Aida. Active in community service, Kendall’s
favorite athlete is Larry Bird, favorite entertainer is Will Farrell and
most-like-to-meet is Christian Bale. Kendall will continue her basketball
excellence next season at the University of Southern California.
