Senior St. Xavier All-American swimmer Jaeger Ellerman and his AquaBomber teammates finished as state runners-up this season after winning a second straight Ohio state team championship last season, their 44th in program history, which is the most team state titles in Ohio history. In this year's state competition, Jaeger finished third in the 100 freestyle, third in the 100 breaststroke, third in the 200 medley relay and state runner-up in the 400 freestyle relay.

At last season's Ohio state championships, Jaeger was on the state-champion 400 freestyle relay team as well as being on the state runner-up 200 medley relay team. Individually, he was runner-up in the 100 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke. Additionally, Jaeger won state championships in 2023 as a member of the state-winning 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay teams.

He is holder of several swimming records, including setting the record in the Northern Kentucky Swim League in the Boys' 15-and-over 50 breaststroke in 29.47 and setting the Southwest Ohio Classic record in the 200 breaststroke in 2:00.16.

Jaeger has earned many honors, including last year being first-team all-GCL-South, first-team all-city (Enquirer) and was a finalist for the Swimmer of the Year Award by the Cincinnati Enquirer's All-Star Awards.

A good student who is active in community service, he plans on swimming at the next level but has not yet committed to a college. His favorite athlete is Rob Dillingham, favorite entertainer is Adam Sandler, favorite book is Lord of the Flies, favorite movie is Whiplash and most-like-to-meet is Mark Pope.
