He played varsity his freshman year and was the second-leading scorer on a Juggernaut team that went 22-8 and reached the Ninth Region finals.

By his junior year, E.J. was one of the top players in Northern Kentucky and is ranked as Kentucky's No. 2 player in the 2025 class by 247 Sports. He was a sought-after college prospect with more than 30 offers and has committed to play collegiately at the University of South Carolina. Big games this season include games vs. Covington Catholic (30 points-10 rebounds), Louisville Christian Academy (28 points), Conner (27 points-14 rebounds), Villa Madonna (24 points-13 rebounds) and Highlands (26 points-17 rebounds). He was this season's 9th Region Co-Player of the Year, the Northern Kentucky Div. II regional Player of the Year, and a Kentucky Mr. Basketball nominee.

Last season, E.J. helped the Jugs to a 25-9 record, a second straight district championship and to the Ninth Region semifinals. He averaged a double-double, with 17 points-11 rebounds a game while shooting 58% from the field on the way to being named first-team all-NKY by the Enquirer, first-team all-NKAC Div. II by the coaches, MVP of the 34th District tournament and third-team all-state. He has been named all-district three times and to the regional all-tournament team twice.

He is a great student (4.0 GPA) and active in community service. He also plays basketball for the Midwest Basketball Club, and in his spare time he enjoys video games, working out and hanging out with friends. His favorite athlete and most-like-to-meet is Russell Westbrook, favorite entertainer is NBA YoungBoy, favorite book is The Bible and favorite movie is The Lion King.

COACH'S QUOTE – “E.J. is a hard worker and gym rat, but very humble. He enjoys helping others, which is the reason why he always has a smile on his face. He carries over a 4.0 GPA and is going to play in the SEC. He is the true definition of student-athlete.” —Michael Walker, Varsity Basketball Coach
