Notre Dame Academy has a swimming star in senior Sadie Hartig, a swimming All-American and a defending Kentucky state champion, who will be swimming next year at the United States Air Force Academy. Sadie this season was a member of two Region 7 relay teams that won the regional championships - the 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay teams.

Sadie is coming off a junior campaign when she won a state title in the 500 freestyle (4:56.46) and four regional swim titles, in the 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay. At the state championships, she also finished third in the 400 freestyle relay, fourth in the individual 200 freestyle and sixth in the 200 freestyle relay.

For her efforts, she was named as The Enquirer's Northern Kentucky Swimmer of the Year and was a finalist for the Enquirer's All-Star Awards for Swimming Athlete of the Year. She has been the school's swimming MVP three straight years and her junior year was named as a NISCA All-American.

Active in community service, she is a great student (USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, National Honor Society) and also swims for the Northern Kentucky Clippers club team. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, pickleball and volleyball. Her favorite athlete is Regan Smith, favorite entertainer is Zendaya, favorite book is Kinfolk, favorite movie is The Greatest Showman and most-like-to-meet is Kenny Chesney.
