Senior point guard Garyn Jackson is a two-sport (basketball-football) all-star athlete for Campbell County High School.

He enters his senior season of basketball ranked as the number two player in the 10th region in a preseason coaches' poll.

He is coming off a good junior campaign, when he led the Camels to a 27-7 record, the 37th District championship, the 10th Region championship and the Sweet 16 state quarterfinals. Jackson is the only starter returning from that team. A memory-maker last season was when he hit a shot at the buzzer to win the 10th Region final. He averaged 11.7 points and 4.8 rebounds a game as a junior while shooting 64.7% from the field and 43.4% from three-point range. His numerous double-digit scoring games included hitting for 25 points vs.

Harrison County, 23 points vs. George Rogers Clark and 18 points vs. Mason County. He was first-team all-conference.

In football, Garyn, a wide receiver, this past season had 36 receptions for 614 yards and seven touchdowns. A highlight-reel moment on the gridiron occurred when he made a spectacular one-handed catch against Beechwood that went viral and was talked about as one of the outstanding highlight catches of the year. He was the recipient of a NKY Top 26 Award and was second-team all-NKY-offense by Northern Kentucky coaches.

A great student (4.4 GPA), Garyn's favorite athlete, entertainer and most-like-to-meet is LeBron James.

COACH'S QUOTE – “Garyn is a natural-born leader who lights up any room he is in. He is a true force of nature on and off the court.” —Brent Sowder, Varsity Basketball Coach
