Lakota East senior Shaun Dickerson is a soccer all-star who helped the Thunderhawks to a 11-5-3 overall record this season (7-2-0 in league play) and a trip to the second round of the playoffs. He was named as a preseason all-state player by the USA Today Network.

A striker/ midfielder, Shaun this season led the GMC with 18 assists, scored 11 goals and was third in the GMC in points with 40. He was named first-team all-GMC and first-team all-state.

His junior year, he was second in the GMC in goals with 13, third in assists with seven and second in points with 33. His good play was recognized with numerous awards. His junior year, he was first-team all-GMC, first-team all-city (Enquirer), first-team all-SWO District and second-team all-state. He was also a finalist for Cincinnati Soccer Player of the Year by the Cincinnati High School Sports Awards.

He had a number of good games this year, with a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over Fairfield in GMC play plus he had two goals in a 3-0 win over Hamilton. He had a big game in a 6-0 win over Colerain, scoring a three-goal hat trick plus had three assists for a total of nine points in the game. A high honors and academic all-league student who is active in community service, Shaun also plays soccer for the CUP Gold 07 club team. He will continue his play at the next level at Northern Kentucky University. His favorite athlete is LeBron James, favorite entertainer is Kevin Hart, favorite movie is Fast & Furious 7 and most-like-to-meet is Drake.
