In track, Ryle senior Tiger Bartlett holds school records in the mile
run and the 3200 run. His junior year, at the 2023 Class 3A regional
track & field championships, he won the 1600 run (4:19.02) and
finished fourth in the 3200 run (9:31.97), to help the Raiders take
the team championship. Following his regional success, at the 2023
Class 3A Kentucky state track & field championships, he was state
runner-up in the 1600 run in 4:15.47 and finished fourth in the 3200
run in 9:31.20. He was named first-team all-region and first team
all-state.
In cross country, Tiger is a two-time regional champ, in 2022
finishing in 15:53.18 and in 2023 finishing in 15:41.72. He has been
named first-team all-state and all-region three times and twice has
been named Northern Kentucky cross country Runner of the Year. He has
been Academic All-State three times as well. He holds the school's
cross country record in the 5,000 meter run in 14:51, set at the Great
American Cross Country Festival in North Carolina, where he finished
seventh overall in the Race of Champions in a field of top runners
from several states. His time was the fourth fastest time in Kentucky
history. In track, his 1:58.41 is the fourth fastest time in the 800
meter run in the state of Kentucky while his 4:19.39 time in the 1,600
meter run is also the fourth fastest time in Kentucky. He was just
named as a finalist for the Cincinnati Enquirer's All-Star Awards'
Cross Country Athlete of the Year Award.
A super student who is active in community affairs, Tiger will
continue his running at the next level, running both cross country and
track at the University of Cincinnati.
His favorite athlete is Steve Prefontaine, favorite entertainer is
Kendrick Lamar, favorite book is Running with the Buffaloes, favorite
movie is Pulp Fiction and most-like-to-meet is Kanye West.
