Moeller senior A.J. McBride is a basketball star for a proud athletic program – the Crusaders have won the Div. I Ohio state basketball championship five times, the last being in 2019.

A.J.'s junior season, the Crusaders finished 18-8 as district runners-up while he averaged 10.3 points and five rebounds per game. He scored in double digits thirteen times last season, including scoring 18 points vs. Withrow, 18 points vs. Purcell Marian and 16 points vs. Saint Vincent-Saint Mary. He was named first-team all-GCL-South and honorable mention all-city by the Enquirer. Double-digit scoring games this season include scoring 17 points vs. Gamble Montessori and 11 points vs. Centerville.

A good student who is active in community service, A.J. has committed to play next season at Niagara University. He also plays for the Midwest Basketball Club team and is the cousin of former Moeller and West Virginia star and current NBA player Miles "Duece" McBride.

His favorite athlete is Paul George, favorite entertainer is Kevin Hart, favorite book is The Land of Stories, favorite movie is Transformers 3/Dark of the Moon and most-like-to-meet is Kevin Durant.
