One of Northern Kentucky's finest volleyball players is All-American and first-team all-state outside hitter Alivia Skidmore, a senior at St. Henry High School, which has a rich tradition of winning volleyball games, having won two state championships (1981 and 2021), ten regional titles and 21 district championships. The Crusaders have also been Kentucky state All-A champs six times. Most recently, St. Henry won this year's 34th District championship and Alivia was named MVP of the district tournament with 16 kills, 13 digs and an ace in the championship game. The Crusaders then finished as 9th Region runners-up.

This season, Alivia filled the stat sheet with 350 kills, 197 digs, 30 blocks, and 25 aces. Alivia is coming off a junior campaign when she registered 402 kills, 287 digs, 43 aces and 29 blocks. She was first-team all-Northern Kentucky by the Enquirer, first-team all-state, MVP of the district tournament and named to the Ninth Region all-tournament team. She also was a finalist for Greater Cincinnati Volleyball Player of the Year by the Cincinnati High School Sports Awards, and was invited to attend the USA Volleyball National Team Development program. The Crusaders finished 25-8 last season and were 34th District champions and Ninth Region runners-up.

Alivia earned a Kentucky state championship her sophomore year, when she was one of the leading hitters in the state tournament with 41 kills in 10 sets for St. Henry's state title team. She also played for the NKY Volleyball Club Tsunami team that reached the U-16 quarterfinals in the gold medal bracket of the USA Volleyball Junior National Championship in Indianapolis. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and interior design.

A good student who is active in community service, she has committed to play volleyball collegiately at Western Kentucky University. Her favorite athlete is Joe Burrow, favorite entertainer is Morgan Wallen, favorite book is Wonder, favorite movie is Parent Trap and most-like-to-meet is Devin Booker.
