Highlands High School senior striker Colin Pieper is an all-star soccer
player who was rated as first-team all-state in a preseason poll. He has
earned numerous honors in his career, including his junior year being
named the Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference "Most Outstanding" boys'
soccer player and the coaches association's Offensive Player of the
Year. He was also first-team all-state East last season as well as being
named to the district and regional all-tournament teams. Plus, he was
the Enquirer's Northern Kentucky Player of the Year, first-team
all-state and a finalist for Cincinnati Sports Awards' Soccer Player of
the Year. This season, he has already been named first-team all-9th
Region by the Soccer Coaches Association and first team all-state. He
also is an invitee to the 12th annual All-American Showcase.
In eight games last season, Colin had 12 goals and three assists for 27
points. His sophomore year, in 23 games, he had 22 goals and nine
assists for 53 points for the 18-5-1 Bluebirds who finished as district
champions and regional semifinalists. His senior season, the Bluebirds
were 14-5-3 and Colin scored 21 goals with six assists for 48 points. He
was one of the top scorers in Northern Kentucky and also plays for the
Kings Hammer Academy soccer program.
A super honor roll student who is active in community service, Colin
plans to play soccer at the next level but has not yet selected a
college. His favorite athlete is Lionel Messi, favorite entertainer is
Adam Sandler, favorite book is The Keeper, favorite movie is Ferris
Bueller's Day Off and most-like-to-meet is Kevin Hart.
