One of the area's finest volleyball players in Greater Cincinnati is
Roger Bacon senior Cammy Niesen, who holds numerous school records and
will be playing collegiately next year at Ole Miss. In her first 25
games this season, Cammy has already racked up a league-leading 180
digs, giving her 1,500+ in her great career.
Cammy, a libero, is coming off a junior year campaign for the league
co-champions when she recorded a conference-leading 533 digs as well as
48 service aces. She was named first team all-conference, GCL Co-Ed
Player of the Year, Cincinnati Div. II Player of the Year, SWO District
Div. II Player of the Year and first team all-state.
She holds school records in most career aces (140), most career digs
(1,350)
most single-season aces (62) and most digs in a season (533). Volleyball
excellence at Bacon is a family affair -- Cammy has surpassed school
records previously held by older sisters Courtney ('17) and Karly ('20).
A great student-athlete on pace to graduate with a 4.0 GPA, Cammy is
active in community service and plays club volleyball with the Tri-State
Elite club. Her favorite athlete is Kayla Banwarth, favorite entertainer
is John Mulaney, favorite book is We Were Liars by E. Lockhart, favorite
movie is National Treasure 2 and most- like-to-meet is Spider-Man.
