A four-year varsity basketball starter, Highlands' Zoie Barth has
scored 2,000+ points in her stellar high school career, reaching the
landmark number in a game vs. Conner at the LaRosa's Holiday Classic
Tournament.
She is adding to the total each game, putting up numerous double-digit
scoring games this season, including vs. St. Henry (26 points),
Newport Catholic (26), Henry Clay (23), Simon Kenton (22), Tecumseh
(20), Scott (20) and Boyd County (20).
Her junior year, Zoie averaged 19 points 6- rebounds-3 assists-4
steals per game, helping the Bluebirds win the 36th District
championship for the fourth straight year.
Zoie has earned numerous honors, including last season when she was
named NKAC Div. II Player of the Year, 1st team NKY, MVP of the
District tournament, named to the 9th Region all-tournament team, was
honorable mention all-state and was a finalist for Cincinnati.com
Sports Awards Small School Player of the Year. She was also selected
for the Kentucky-Indiana Junior All-Star Game.
Zoie also played softball her freshman year for the 9th Region champs.
She plans to play basketball at the next level, but has not yet
selected a college.
Also an academic star, she is active in community service and was this
year's Homecoming queen. Her favorite athlete is LeBron James and
most-like-to-meet is Ellen Pompeo.
