Ursuline senior Hailey Green is an All-American volleyball player who
was on the Cincinnati Enquirer's preseason Top 10 Players to Watch list
in 2020. For the 19-5 Lions, she had 256 kills this season, with 33 digs
and 95 blocks (which led the GGCL) and she was named first team all-SWO
District.
Hailey has an Ohio state championship in her accomplishments. A hitter
(middle, right side and outside), Hailey was on the team her sophomore
year that went 27-2 and won the Ohio state title for the second straight
year, the school's seventh state title over all. That season as a
sophomore Hailey was second team all-GGCL and first team all-SWO
District.
Her junior year, Hailey compiled impressive stats - 293 kills (fourth in
GGCL), 92 blocks (second in GGCL), 34 digs and 15 service aces. She had
double-digit in kills in 17 matches. She led the league and was top 20
in the state for kill percentage, and top four in Division I in hitting
percentage. She was named first team GGCL, first team all-city
(Enquirer), first team SWO District and second team all-Ohio. She helped
lead Ursuline to a 23-4 record with a district championship and regional
runner-up finish.
A great student with a 4.2 GPA and a member of National Honor Society,
she is a member of the Student Ambassador program and is involved in
community service. She plays volleyball for the Elevation club team.
Hailey can be found playing beach volleyball in her spare time. She will
play volleyball at the next level at the University of Denver.
Her favorite athlete is Stephen Curry, favorite entertainer is Shawn
Mendes or Ruel, favorite book is The Outsiders or The Sun Is Also a
Star, favorite movie is 10 Things I Hate About You, and
most-like-to-meet is Gigi Hadid.
