One of the GMC's top baseball players is Mason senior center fielder
Cole Harting.
Cole's stellar play last season helped the Comets win the GMC
championship for the second straight year, going an impressive 17-1 in
conference play, 25-4 overall. He hit a robust .391 with a .486 on-base
percentage. He had 19 extra base hits, including seven home runs, and 29
RBI. He earned first team all-GMC, first team all-city and first team
all-state honors.
During his notable varsity career, Cole batted .389 with a .481 on-base
percentage. He had 29 extra base hits, including 7 home runs, and 58
RBI. He plays for Midland during the summer.
Active in community service, Cole is a super student with a 4.08 GPA.
His favorite athlete is Mike Trout, favorite entertainer is Ryan
Reynolds, favorite book is Holes, favorite movie is Sandlot and
most-like-to-meet is Ken Griffey Jr.
Cole has been recognized as one of the area's elite players by Prep
Baseball Report. He will play baseball collegiately at the University of
Cincinnati.
