Senior Serena Clark has been running varsity track for the Lakota East
Thunderhawks since her freshman year, and has chalked up four Ohio state
championships - one in an individual event, two relay teams and an
overall team title in 2019.
Individually, Serena captured the 2019 Ohio state championship in the
200 meter dash in 24.09. That year, she also was on the 4x100 relay team
that, for the second straight year, won the state title in 45.82; the
previous year the relay team won that event in 47.21.
Serena has earned numerous honors for her outstanding running, including
being named GMC Track Runner of the Year three times. She was also last
year's Cincinnati Track Co-Runner of the Year.
Serena holds school records in the 200 dash (23.97), 100 dash (11.66)
and the 4x100 relay (45.82, also a state record). She holds numerous
district and regional records.
In her leisure time, Serena enjoys reading poetry, listening to music
and spending time with family and friends.
A good student who is active in community service, her favorite athlete
and most-like-to-meet is Allyson Felix, favorite entertainer is Kevin
Hart, favorite book is Wonder, and favorite movie is Kingsman: The
Golden Circle.
Serena will continue competing in track collegiately next season at
Clemson University.
