One of Cincinnati's finest volleyball hitters, leading the conference
with 320 kills, senior Natalie Steibel entered her senior season after
helping the Cougars to last year's regional championship and Ohio
state runner-up finish. She was also a member of the 2015 team that
won the Ohio state championship and will play collegiately at the
University of Pittsburgh.
Natalie recorded 256 kills 35 digs, 17 blocks last season and was
named 1st team GGCL, 1st team all-city Div.I (Enquirer), 2nd team SWO
District and honorable mention all-Ohio. She was also a finalist for
Cincinnati.com GCSA Player of the Year award in volleyball. She tied
an Ohio state record for most kills in a five-set Div. I state finals
or semifinals match with 28 in 2016.
In July, 2016, Natalie was a member of the Northern Kentucky
Volleyball Club Tsunami 17-1 team that won the national championship
title at the USA Volleyball Girls' Junior National Championships in
Indianapolis.
Very active in community service, Natalie is an outstanding student
with a 6.01 weighted GPA. She is a member of National Honor Society
and is a National Merit Commended scholar. She made the first honor
roll every quarter of her high school career.
Natalie has numerous outside interests, too, including playing piano,
Origami, painting and drawing. "I love to watch NASCAR and I'm a huge
St. Louis Blues hockey fan," Natalie says.
