A four-year varsity starter and one of the top linebacker recruits in
Ohio, Colerain's Dan Bolden in his senior season of football is one of
the Cardinals' defensive stalwarts. Entering this season, he leads the
GMC in career tackles with 245. He also has 8.5 career sacks, and he
is on the prestigious 2017-18 Dick Butkus Watch List.
Dan started this season strong. In the season opener loss to La Salle,
he had 12 tackles (7 solo), two sacks and a forced fumble.
Dan helped last year's Cardinals to an undefeated 7-0 record in league
play, capturing yet another GMC title, and an 11-1 over all record. He
had 125
tackles last season, adding 4.5 sacks, a fumble recovery and 3 INTs.
His junior season, Dan was named 1st team all-GMC for the 2nd time,
honorable mention all-city (Enquirer), 1st team all-Southwest Ohio
District and honorable mention all-state.
A good student who is active in community service, Dan is the nephew
of Colerain head coach Tom Bolden. With numerous football scholarship
offers, Dan will play at the next level but has not yet selected a
college.
His favorite athlete and most-like-to-meet is Brian Kushing, favorite
entertainer is Kenny Chesney, favorite book is The Bible, and favorite
movie is Remember the Titans.
