A four-year varsity starter, senior Taylor Clos leaves behind a stellar
basketball legacy at Campbell County High School. She wrapped up her
varsity career as the all-time leading scorer (girls or boys) in school
history with 2,521 career points.
Averaging 23 points per game this season, she helped lead the Lady
Camels to a fourth straight Kentucky 37th District championship and a
10th Region semifinalist finish. She had numerous big-time scoring
games, including vs. Simon Kenton (30 points), Newport (30), Sacred
Heart (29), Bullitt East (28), Central (28) and Bishop Brossart (28).
Taylor's numerous honors this year included being a finalist for Miss
Kentucky Basketball. She was 10th Region Player of the Year and MVP of
the 37th District tournament, plus she is a finalist for
Cincinnati.com's Sports Awards' Girls' Basketball Player of the Year.
All-star basketball runs in the family. Twin brother Tanner Clos played
men's basketball for the 10th Region champion Camels and also is a
1,000+ career point scorer.
Taylor also played four years of varsity golf for the Lady Camels. Very
active in community service, she will play basketball collegiately at
Northern Kentucky University.
Her favorite athlete is Stephen Curry, favorite entertainer is Adam
Sandler, favorite book is Heart of a Husky, favorite movie is My
All-American and most-like-to-meet is Maya Moore.
