A four-year volleyball starter at middle blocker and outside hitter,
Ali is
coming off a star-studded junior year when she had 333 kills, 231
digs, 69 blocks and 15 service aces. She holds the school record for
most kills in a match (28).
She helped last season’s 22-5 Lions to a GGCL co-championship, a SWO
district championship and a regional runner-up finish. She is off to a
good start this season, too. In her first four matches, all wins, Ali
notched 44 kills (2nd in the GGCL) and 59 digs (4th in the GGCL).
Ali has earned numerous honors, including last season being named GGCL
Player of the Year and Cincinnati Enquirer Div. I Volleyball Player of
the Year. She was 1st team all-league, 1st team all-city, 1st team
all-Ohio and a finalist for the Cincinnati.com Greater Cincinnati
Sports Awards’ Volleyball Player of the Year. In 2015 and 2016 she was
named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association “Phenom List.”
Ali was also a key member of her 2016 volleyball club team that won
the U16 national championship and she was named to the national
all-tournament team.
A great student who is a National Honor Society member, Ali is active
in community service and will play volleyball collegiately at Grand
Valley State University.
Her favorite athlete is Kerri Walsh, favorite entertainer is Luke
Bryan, favorite book is The Hunger Games and favorite movie is Mr.
& Mrs. Smith.
