A senior outside hitter, Kelly Franxman is a five-year varsity starter for the Lady Eagles' volleyball team and holds school records for all-time kills and digs. She was recently named 10th Region Volleyball Player of the Year.

Entering her senior year, Kelly in her great career had notched 1,465 kills, 831 digs, 160 blocks and 193 aces. Her senior year so far, she has 692 kills, 415 digs and 41 assists.

This season she helped Scott to a fourth straight 37th District volleyball crown and a fourth straight 10th Region championship. In the 10th Region title game, she notched 20 kills and 21 digs. The Eagles have won 42 straight matches against 10th Region opponents and 26 in a row against 37th District foes.

Kelly has earned numerous honors, including last season being named Kentucky Class 2A Player of the Year, Northern Kentucky Volleyball Coaches' Player of the Year, 37th District and 10th Region Player of the Year, and 1st team all-state. Her club team is the Tri-State Elite

She also played three years of basketball and one year of tennis for the Lady Eagles. An academic all-state and National Honor Society student who is active in community service, Kelly will play volleyball collegiately at Xavier University.

Her favorite athlete is Kerri Walsh-Jennings, favorite entertainer is Khalid, favorite book is Divergent, favorite movie is the Harry Potter series and most-like-to-meet is Jennifer Lawrence.
