Heidi Thelen is a 4 year varsity player for the reigning district
& regional champions and an AAU volleyball All-American. Now a NDA
senior, she holds school records for single season and career kills
and blocks. Entering her senior year, Heidi had already accumulated
1,105 career kills and 287 career blocks.
Her junior year, Heidi helped her team to a 34-8 record, the district
and regional championship titles and a state quarterfinalist finish.
She had 546 kills, 126 digs, 66 service aces, and 64 blocks. For her
accomplishments, she was selected as district MVP, 1st team all-region
and Class 3A 1st team all-state by the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches
Association. She was also NKY Div. I Player of the Year.
An academic honors student who is active in community service, Heidi
plays for Team Z in the summer. She will continue her volleyball
career next season at Penn State University. Her favorite athlete is
Michael Phelps, favorite books are Now You See Me and Taken, and
most-like-to-meet are Ryan Gosling and Angelina Jolie.
