ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Entering her senior season, Campbell County’s talented runner Anna
Carrigan already has earned 8 Kentucky state championships in track
(individual, relay and team titles.) Last season’s Kentucky Class 3A
track team state championship was the first in school history. Her junior
year, Anna notched state titles in the 400 run (her 57.13 set a NKY record),
800 relay and 1,600 relay. She also finished 3rd in the 200 dash. Anna was
named NKY Track Athlete of the Year (Enquirer) for the 2nd time, the NKAC
Div. I Track Athlete of the Year and 1st team all-state for the third time.
Anna also played 3 years of soccer and 1 year of swimming for the Camels. A
super student (5.26), she is an academic all-state performer and is active
in community service. Anna will run next year at Belmont University in
Nashville. Her favorite athlete is Allyson Felix and favorite entertainer is
Tenth Avenue North.
