ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
A 3-year varsity starter at guard for Roger Bacon, senior Paul Byrd
helped the Spartans to an undefeated 10-0 conference record, and the GCL
Central, sectional and district championships. He was named the 2011 GCL
Central Player of the Year and 1st team SWO district. Big games this season
included games vs. Finneytown (27 points), Carroll (21), North College Hill
(19), McNicholas (18) and Winton Woods (18). As a junior last season, Paul
averaged 10.4 ppg. for the 19-6 Spartans, helping the team to its first
district title since 2003. Paul was named 1st team all-GCL Central,
honorable mention all-city (Enquirer) and special mention all-SWO district
(Div. II.) Paul is undecided on a college but he will compete at the next
level. In the summer he is on the Cincinnati Royals. His favorite athlete
and most-like-to-meet is LeBron James and his favorite movie is Remember the
Titans.
