ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Senior Sydni Wainscott, a 2-time 8th Region Player of the Year, has been
a top basketball player at Simon Kenton, playing varsity for the Pioneers
since the 8th grade and scoring 1,000+ points in her great prep career. She
tied a single game school scoring record this season when she hit for 41
points vs. Scott. Other big games included those vs. Grant County (31
points) and Conner (27). Her junior year, Sydni averaged 18.6 points per
game and earned numerous honors, including being named NKAC all-conference
(coaches) and 1st team all-Northern Kentucky (Enquirer). She was also named
to the district and regional all-tournament teams. Sydni, a 4-year honor
roll student active in community service, plans to play basketball at the
next level, but has not yet selected a college. Her favorite athlete and
most-like-to-meet is Darnell Porter, favorite entertainer is Jim Carrey, and
favorite movie is A Walk to Remember.
