ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Scott senior Lauren Tibbs, a Ms. Kentucky Basketball candidate, this season became the school’s all-time record-holder in career points (2,500+) and career rebounds (1,100+). When she set the school’s scoring mark, Lauren broke a 29-year-old record held by her current coach Rhonda Klette (2,485 points.) Last season, Lauren led NKY in scoring (25.3 ppg.) and rebounding (11.1 rpg.) and was named NKAC Player of the Year, 10th Region Player of the Year and 2nd team all-state. In a monster game vs. Holmes, Lauren scored 48 points and pulled down 22 rebounds (both single-game school records.) “Lauren is a tremendous student-athlete and one of the hardest working players I have ever had the pleasure of coaching,” says coach Klette. Also a super volleyball competitor, Lauren’s 327 career blocks is a school record. She was named NKY Player of the Year by the coaches’ association. She is secretary of student council and a member of National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America. Lauren will join the basketball team at Marquette University.
