ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Wyoming senior A.J. Burt is already an Ohio state swimming champ, and this
year he is going for more. Last season as a junior, A.J. and his swimming
mates captured the Ohio Div. II state title in the 200 yard freestyle relay
in 1:26.19. A.J. and his teammates also were Ohio state runners-up in the
200 medley relay competition (1:35.32). A.J. has earned numerous honors,
including being named 1st team all-CHL and 1st team all-city. “A.J. is
the ultimate team player. His positive energy and team spirit are always at
the forefront of everything he's involved in,” says swim coach David
Elliott. A great student active in community service, A.J. is a member of
the Latin Honor Society and is student body treasurer. His favorite athlete
is Brendan Hansen, favorite entertainer is Ryan Reynolds, favorite book is
The Old Man and the Sea, favorite move is National Treasure and
most-like-to-meet is “any president.”
