ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
A 4-year varsity competitor, Steven Zimmerman is a swimming All-American and
the reigning Ohio state champion in 2 events – the 100 backstroke
(49.2) and the 200 IM (1:51.2). Steven is only the second athlete in Little
Miami school history to achieve a state championship in an individual sport.
He was the MVP of the Ohio state meet and also earned honors as 1st team all
conference (twice), 1st team all-city (twice) and is the reigning Cincinnati
Div. I Swimmer of the Year (Enquirer). Steven is the conference record
holder in the 100 back and 200 IM, and holds the YMCA Long Course national
record in the 100 backstroke. A great student (National Honor Society), he
is active in community service. His favorite entertainer is Tom Hanks,
favorite athlete and most-like-to-meet is Nick Thoman, favorite movie is
Forrest Gump and favorite book is To Kill A Mockingbird. Steven will swim
next year at Ohio State University.
