ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
A 4-year varsity starter, as a freshman, Komal was an Ohio state
quarterfinalist in doubles with older sister Nida. Her sophomore year she
was an Ohio state qualifier in singles, and her junior year, in singles she
went 30-3 and was district champ and Ohio state runner-up. This season she
teamed in doubles with younger sister Mehvish and they were sectional,
district and Ohio state champions. Three times Komal has been named 1st team
all-conference and all-city. Her junior year she was named GGCL Scarlet
Player of the Year (2nd time), and was Cincinnati Div. I Player of the Year
as named by the Enquirer and the local Women’s Sports Association.
Active in community service, Komal is a 4.0 GPA student (taking mostly honor
classes) and is a 4-year member of Student Council. Her favorite athlete is
Rafael Nadal and most-like-to-meet is Roger Federer. Komal will continue
tennis next year at Syracuse University.
