ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
A volleyball All-American, Lexi Dannemiller, prior to a recent injury, was a
top setter, who last season notched 622 assists, 134 digs, 49 kills, 23
service aces and 28 blocks. She helped the Firebirds go 21-3 and capture the
GMC title.
Big assist games this season include 47 vs. Oak Hills, 35 vs. Big Walnut,
and 34 vs. Centerville. A 4-year varsity starter, she has earned numerous
honors, including named area Player of the Year (Journal News), GMC
Co-Player of the Year, 1st team all-city, 1st team all-SWO district and 1st
team all-Ohio. An honor roll student active in community service, Lexi has
committed to play volleyball next season at the University of Michigan. Her
favorite athlete is Misty May, favorite entertainer is Shakira, favorite
book is the Harry Potter series, and favorite movies include Zoolander,
She’s the Man and Step Up 3.Volleyball is in her family --mother Maria
played volleyball at Western Michigan University.
