the USA Junior Olympic volleyball Team. Last season, Lauren recorded 430
kills, 160 digs, 49 blocks and 54 aces in leading the district champions.
She was the first in school history to record 1,000+ career kills.
“Lauren not only strives to be great on the court but is also an
excellent student in the classroom and leader in our school,” says her
coach Andrea Sullivan. Lauren’s numerous honors include last season
being named to the district and regional all-tournament teams, NKAC Player
of the Year, 1st team all-state, and ESPN Rise Top 10 players in the area.
Active in community service, Lauren is a National Honor Society member and
VP of Student Council. Lauren will play next year at the University of
Kentucky.
COACH’S QUOTE --“Lauren’s dedication and commitment
to the sport of volleyball show her desire to be great. She has made
tremendous improvements over the past 3 years that have put her not only at
the top of her game but above other players her age. She not only dominates
the net with her attacks and blocks but she has worked extremely hard to
become a better defensive player and unlike most people her height, she plays
all the way around. ” – Andrea Sullivan, Volleyball Coach.
