ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
This senior golfer for Mason is part of Cincinnati golfing history -- in
the summer 2009, at age 16, she was victorious in the Cincinnati
Metropolitan Women’s Amateur Championship, becoming the youngest
champion in the tournament’s 94-year history. In her high school
career, Emily helped lead the Comets to an Ohio state runner-up finish her
freshman year, then back-to-back Ohio state team championships her sophomore
and junior years. Emily has earned numerous awards, including last year
being named Golf Sportswoman of the Year by the local chapter of the
Women’s Sports Association. She was also named GMC Player of the Year,
Cincinnati Div. I Player of the Year, Southwest Ohio District Player of the
Year and 1st team all-state. A super student (4.48 GPA), Emily next year
will play golf on scholarship at Wake Forest University. Her favorite
athlete and most-like-to-meet is Annika Sorenstam, her favorite book is Duma
Key and her favorite movie is Napoleon Dynamite.
