ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Austin’s multi-talented athletic career at Conner High School saw
him enter the record books this baseball season as he became the
school’s all-time career leader in both home runs (21) and RBIs (104).
Playing catcher, first base, pitcher and designated hitter, the team captain
was named by the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association as a
pre-season all-state selection coming off an all-star junior year when he
hit .461 with 37 RBIs and 6 homeruns while scoring 35 runs. His
single-season 47 hits ranks 4th in team history. Also a tough football
player on both offense and defense, Austin was named to the NKAC and
all-district teams. He also wrestled (placing 7th at state) one year. An
excellent student (honor roll every semester) active in community service,
his favorite athlete and most-like-to-meet is Albert Pujols, his favorite
entertainer is Will Ferrell, favorite movie is The Hangover, and his
favorite book is Hatch.
