ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
A 4-year varsity starter at Cincinnati Country Day, senior Joey Fritz is the
reigning Ohio state Div. II singles tennis champion, notching a 33-1 record
last season (he didn’t lose a single set in all of the postseason
play)! His 88 victories entering his senior season is a school record. As a
sophomore, Joey was sectional champ, district champ and finished 3rd at
state. He has earned numerous honors, including twice named MVC Player of
the Year, Cincinnati Enquirer Div. II Player of the Year and 1st team
all-state. Joey, who also played soccer his senior year, is a superstar
student, too, with a 4.25 GPA and member of Cum Laude Society. Extremely
active in community service, Joey will continue his tennis prowess next year
at Amherst College. His favorite athlete is Domata Peko, favorite
entertainer is Adam Sandler, favorite movie is The Longest Yard, favorite
book is Blindness and most-like-to-meet is Roger Federer.
