ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
All-American Shauniece Steele is a track record-breaker, Ohio state champion
and reigning FAVC Cardinal Runner of the Year. At the 2007 Ohio Indoor Track
Championships, she set a school–record 25.64
in the 200 run, and was on the state-winning 1,600 relay team. At the 2008
Nike Track Outdoor Nationals, Shauniece was on the national champion
800-meter sprint medley team (1:44.10, Cincinnati record, 2nd fastest time
in Ohio history.) As a sophomore, Shauniece was on the Ohio state champion
800 relay (1:38.60, Cincinnati record) and 1,600 relay (3:45.89, Ohio
record) teams, and was named the local Women’s Sports
Association’s Cincinnati/NKY Track Runner of the Year. Last season,
she was regional champ in the 100 and 200 sprints, and was named 1st team
all-city. Shauniece also played 3 years of volleyball for the Lady Eagles.
Active in community service, her favorite athlete is Lolo Jones, favorite
entertainer is Lil Wayne and most like to meet is Drake.
