ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
A McDonalds All-American nominee in basketball, Phylesha has scored more
than 1,000 career points, and as a sophomore and junior helped lead the
Eagles to two consecutive league titles and an undefeated 23-0 league record
during that span. Last season she averaged 15 ppg. (leading the conference
in scoring) and was named FAVC Cardinal Player of the Year, 1st team
all-city, and 3rd team all-SWO district. This season, her big games include
those vs. Purcell Marian (25 points), Turpin (22 points) and Seton (20
points). Phylesha will play basketball next season at Syracuse University.
She also is a 1st team all-conference volleyball player, and competes in
track & field. Active in community service, Phylesha played alto sax in
the jazz ensemble in the school band. Her favorite athletes are Dwayne Wade
and Candace Parker, favorite entertainer is Mario, favorite book is Jason
and Kyra, and favorite movie is Love & Basketball. Her most-like to meet
is Candace Parker.
