ACCOMPLISHMENTS: One of Cincinnati’s top wrestlers is Mason
team captain Robert Shepherd, GMC Wrestler of the Year who is the reigning
Southwest Ohio district champ and Ohio Div. I state champ in the 135 lb.
class. He is wrestling in the 140 lb. class in this, his senior year. Robert
is only the 3rd wrestling state champ in Mason school history. He finished
his sophomore year 38-5 and followed up last year with a 35-3 record. In his
great career, he has a school-record 127 Ws and counting. An interesting
note: Robert's first wrestling coach was his grandfather, Ron Corradini, who
is in the SWOWCA Hall of Fame. Robert has earned many honors, including
being named 1st team all-Ohio and 1st team all-city his junior year. Active
in community service, Robert is a great student (4.3 GPA), and was also
named to the Ohio All-Academic team. Robert will wrestle at Princeton
University next year. His most-like-to-meet is Neil Armstrong.
