ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Spencer Ware has been a star quarterback for the past 4 years. This
season he passed for 1,007 yards (5 TDs) plus ran for 770 yards (13 TDs) and
was named GMC Offensive Player of the Year and GMC Co-Athlete of the Year.
His junior year he threw for 1,938 yards (13 TDs) and rushed for 741 yards
(15 TDs) and was named 1st team all-conference, 1st team all-city and 2nd
team all-SWO district. Spencer has been selected to play in the U.S. Army
All-American Bowl Jan. 9 in San Antonio. Spencer is also a good baseball
player who, as a junior, hit .310 with 16 RBIs, 10 stolen bases and 23 runs
scored. He was named 2nd team all- conference and honorable mention
all-city. Spencer will play football next season at Louisiana State
University. His favorite athlete is Willis McGahee, his favorite entertainer
is Mike Epps, and his most-like-to-meet is Jennifer Lopez.
