In baseball, Cory, a 4-year starter, hit .444 last year with 8 homeruns and 45
RBIs
and was named 1st team all-NKY, all-region and HM all-state. Holding virtually
every
school offensive record, Cory was named as a Top 50 prospect in the nation,
and will
play baseball next season at the U. of Kentucky. On the gridiron, Cory was
runner-up
Mr. Kentucky Football, rushing for 2,824 yds. (32 TDs) this past season. He is
Boone
County's and Northern Kentucky's 2nd all-time career rusher (6,227 yds.),
ranking only
behind NFLer Shaun Alexander. He was NKY Player of the Year, 1st team
all-state and
the winner of the prestigious National Football Foundation's That's My Boy
Award for
Northern Kentucky. Cory also played 2 years of basketball for the Rebels. His
favorite
athlete is Pete Rose, favorite movie is The Natural and favorite book is
Touchdown
Alexander.
